Welcome to the light and the land, a showcase for my landscape & travel images.

Many of the images were created during the early hours of the morning or at the moment before the last rays were overcome by darkness.

I love being somewhere wild and remote during these times to see something exceptional happen between the light and the land.


Cerro Torre

This has most definitely been the hardest photograph to capture, and one of the easiest too. Having tried on three trips over four years to get a decent sunrise shot of this location and failing, it was with complete surprise that my last attempt was successful. Even more surprising was how easy it was to watch everything slot into place to make a beautiful photograph. Timing it seems, is almost everything.
