| Sandwood Bay, Northwest Scotland Situated five miles south west of Cape Wrath, Sandwood bay is a beautiful mile long natural bay. It is inaccessible to most, but for some who are prepared for the four-mile hike in, it is an excellent retreat. With stories of a ghost and sightings of mermaids, Sandwood bay does draw visitors, but my father an myself hiked in for one night and found the bay was all to ourselves. Photographing at 10pm in the evening running around such a large beach in bare feet, I couldn't be happier. The light was fantastic and I felt as though I had Sandwood bay all to myself. |
